We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Facilities Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and safety of facilities at an event, ensuring that all building systems operate efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Facilities Technician will be tasked with performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to keep our facilities in top condition. Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and site setting up tasks - i.e. setting up fencing and barriers, porter loos, stages and stalls.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs or health and safety risks.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to event operations.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialised repairs and maintenance services.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, repairs and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, laws and legislation.
Assist in planning, managing, collecting and returning of event equipment.
Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, including equipment being hired.
Personal Specification
Full UK Driving License [Essential]
Facilities Services qualification or equivalent
Technical or vocational training is a plus.
Proven experience as a Facilities Technician or in a similar role.
Knowledge of laws and legislations regarding Health and Safety and Fire Safety.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes.
