Description

We are looking for a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team and help us maintain a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, clients and assets. As a Security Officer, you will be the first line of defence in protecting a venue or event site and ensuring that everyone within the venue feels safe and secure. Your role will involve monitoring surveillance equipment, conducting regular patrols, and responding to any security incidents or emergencies or even screening visitors. We value individuals who are observant, proactive, and have a strong sense of responsibility. Responsibilities

  • Liaise with event coordinator throughout any event to ensure safe and secure environment.

  • Monitor and operate surveillance equipment to detect and prevent security breaches.

  • Conduct regular patrols of the venue to ensure the safety and security of all areas.

  • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following established protocols.

  • Control access to the venue by verifying identification, entry tickets and maintaining visitor, staff and contractor logs.

  • Collaborate with emergency services when necessary.

  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on security incidents and daily activities.

  • Provide assistance and guidance to employees and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with security best practices.

Requirements

  • SIA Door Supervisor Level 2

  • Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

  • Basic knowledge of security systems and emergency procedures.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
